alternative

Note: Infusionsoft changed its name to Keap in 2019, although most people still refer to the company as “Infusionsoft”. In this article we will still use the familiar  Infusionsoft name.

If you are looking for an Infusionsoft alternative or just a CRM and Marketing Automation tool with some “extra pop”, you will undoubtedly run across AllClients in your search. Infusionsoft and AllClients were among the first to introduce marketing automation functions into a CRM. They have both incorporated Small Business CRM, Premium Email Service, Landing Pages, and Workflows all in a single, fully integrated package.

The main difference between Infusionsoft and AllClients is that Infusionsoft is designed for LARGER small businesses with a large marketing budget: 10+ users. And AllClients is designed for SMALLER small businesses with a tight budget: Under 10 users.

There are many similarities in the products, but some stark differences as well. Let’s explore how they stack up against each other.

Automated Follow-up:

Both products will automatically follow up with your clients and prospects using autoresponders and automatic email campaigns.
Edge: Tie

Workflows:

Both Infusionsoft and AllClients have extensive workflow capabilities, allowing your marketing to essentially run on auto-pilot. Infusionsoft can do more than AllClients in this area, but you will need an Infusionsoft programmer to understand and configure all that it can do. AllClients can do all of the important workflow functions but not everything that Infusionsoft can do. However the AllClients Workflow system is still robust and dead simple.
Edge: Infusionsoft.

Sending Targeted Emails:

Both products use a permission based email system that will only send emails to contact who want to receive them. This ensures a high email deliverability score.
Edge: Tie

Ease of Use:

Infusionsoft is a much bigger, and more sophisticated system than AllClients. Unfortunately with that level of complexity, comes confusion. With Infusionsoft, plan to dedicate several weeks to learn the system thoroughly or better yet, hire a consultant who already knows the system. AllClients is considerably more intuitive and friendly. Within an hour, and with no training, you will be comfortable with the clear and uncluttered AllClients experience.
Edge: AllClients

Managing Referrals:

Infusionsoft has a great affiliate referral program that will calculate commissions to your affiliate marketers. The AllClients referral system is focused on “Client Referrals” and includes a Referral Tree to track your client referrals visually.
Edge: Tie

eCommerce/Shopping Cart:

Infusionsoft has a built in eCommerce system, AllClients does not.
Edge: Infusionsoft

Capturing Leads Online:

Both products allow you to build landing pages and webforms for the purpose of capturing leads online. The AllClients webform builder is much easier to use.
Edge: AllClients

Managing Your Contacts:

Both products offer a good CRM component with notes, todo’s calendars, and reports.
Edge: Tie

Segmenting Your Contact Lists:

Taking your complete contact list and then filtering it, has to be easy and fast. Both products shine in this area, however AllClients screens are more logical and easy to follow.
Edge: AllClients

Built-In Content and Templates:

Infusionsoft includes excellent content in the form of emails, letters, etc… With AllClients you will have to write your own copy or buy it somewhere else.
Edge: Infusionsoft

Training:

Because Infusionsoft is a more complex, robust product, it requires extensive training for the average user. In fact most Infusionsoft customers opt to hire an Infusionsoft programmer to oversee the system. With AllClients, the average user will not need a programmer or extensive training, although video tutorials are provided.
Edge: Tie

Year Founded:

Infusionsoft was founded in 2001, AllClients in 2004.
Edge: Infusionsoft

Price:

Infusionsoft has pricing that ranges from $79 to $199 to several hundreds depending upon the feature set, number of contacts and number of users. AllClients is priced from $29 – $66 a month and can go up from there by adding more users.
Edge: AllClients

White Labeling:

AllClients started offering a white label version of the product in 2009 and has tens of thousands of users using the product under different branding umbrellas. Infusionsoft does not offer a white label version of their product at this time.
Edge: AllClients

Bottom Line:

Both AllClients and Infusionsoft are excellent products and deliver on their promise of CRM with Marketing Automation. If monthly cost is an issue, then AllClients is the way to go. If you have a “large” small business then Infusionsoft might be a better choice for you.

Infusionsoft is more robust and better for the sophisticated marketer, where AllClients provides all the basics, for the non-technical, small business owner.
